  Jake Beauvais (Swing-David/Bogeyman) is currently a fourth-year theatre major with a performance emphasis here at UAA. He was last seen in UAA鈥檚 production of Eurydice as Orpheus, and in previous department productions such as Night of the Iguana (Nonno), Land of the Dead (Francis Bacon), and 44 Plays for 44 Presidents (Washington, Jackson, and many others). Out in the community he was in Anchorage Community Theatre鈥檚 production of Bus Stop as Bo Decker. Jake is also a founding member of the university鈥檚 resident improv troupe, The Ad-lib Alchemists. Fun interesting fact: Jake has many leather bound books and his apartment smells of rich mahogany.

  Mario Castillo (Swing-Robert/Russ/Payaso/Coach Billy) is a new addition to the 暗网视频Theater and Dance program, transferring all the way from Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, California. He performed in various productions like August Wilson鈥檚 Fences, Lynn Nottage鈥檚 Ruined, and Shakespeare鈥檚 A Midsummer Night鈥檚 Dream. Mario looks forward to continuing his studies at 暗网视频in hopes of attaining a BA in Theatre with an emphasis in performance. Follow his Instagram/Twitter @Blhackat.

  Christopher R. Evans (Bogeyman) is a senior theatre major at UAA. He recently directed Keith Huff鈥檚 A Steady Rain for Wolfpack Theatre Club and designed the scenery for UAA鈥檚 Marie Antoinette. He鈥檚 previously appeared as Hamlet in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Orsino in Twelfth Night, and as Stephen 鈥淩ed鈥� Ryder in When You Comin鈥� Back, Red Ryder? Chris is a multiple recipient of the Dayle Skore Memorial Award, the former president and vice president of Wolfpack Theatre Club (formerly Theatre on the Rocks), and has worked in the scene shop for four years. After graduation, he plans to work professionally in film or theatre.

He has been seen at 暗网视频as Henry in The Fantasticks, John Adams (and others) in 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, Dancing Monk and God in Spamalot, and Assistant in Dancing in the Rain. Devin also performed with the 暗网视频Glee Club for several years. He also played Kenneth in Clybourne Park and Moonshine in Gold Rush Girls at Cyrano鈥檚, Martin in Living With the Savage at ACT, and he just finished a run of the dinner theatre show Lounge Lizards. He has also done sound production and design, including the sound design for UAA鈥檚 Marie Antoinette.

  Kevin Lee (Robert/Emmit) is a senior theatre major at UAA. He鈥檚 previously been seen in Marie Antoinette, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Big River, Spamalot, Twelve Angry Jurors, and Singin鈥� in the Rain. He鈥檚 written a play for Short Attention Span Theatre, performed as Wolverine in Winter Bear, and worked as a technician at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. In his spare time, he enjoys writing plays and stories.

  Megan McIlmail (Swing-Nancy/Carol/Molly) is thrilled to be returning to the 暗网视频theater department; she previously appeared as Olivia in last season鈥檚 Twelfth Night, and in the Cyrano鈥檚 Playhouse production of Emotional Creature. She is in her junior year here at UAA, majoring in psychology, and she鈥檚 excited to witness and be a part of the collaboration between her two favorite departments (Psychology and Theater) during this production.

  Emily Pratt (Nancy) is a senior theatre major at UAA. She鈥檚 previously been seen as Marie in Marie Antoinette, Kate in William Shakespeare鈥檚 Land of the Dead, Ophelia in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Antonio in Twelfth Night, Renee/Pin Up Girl in M. Butterfly, and Strange Woman in Big River. She鈥檚 been an assistant in the costume shop for 2 years, and has previously been the makeup designer for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern and ran wardrobe for 44 Plays for 44 Presidents. She enjoys Christopher Moore books, crocheting, camping, and dog watching.

  Jasmine Saxby (Carol/Molly) has a BA degree in communications and is working toward entering the graduate program for clinical psychology here at UAA. She previously worked in theatre at Washington State University, where she was the assistant director for Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, sound co-designer for The Laramie Project, Mallory in Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Vixen #2 in Dracula. Jasmine has been a member of the research team for the Alaska Refugee Needs Assessment, and she is a dancer and musician who speaks Chinese and Japanese.

  Justin Stewart (Russ/Payaso/Coach Billy/McGruff) is an alumnus of 暗网视频Theatre and Dance. He is a writer (musicals, movie soundtracks and writing narratives of any kind), editor, actor (UAA鈥檚 Twelve Angry Jurors, Taming of the Shrew, Spamalot, Big River), palindromist, and dancer. He鈥檚 also been seen in Winter Bear and in the 2016 Breaking Ground at ADT. Justin plays piano, cello, and sings in 鈥渆very shower.鈥� He currently teaches theater classes to children at ADT, ATY, and Kalaidoscape and hopes to become a vendor for Family Partnership Charter School soon. He is also finishing up his first and second novels and hopes to publish them soon.

  Dr. Brian Cook (Director) is an assistant professor of theatre at the 暗网视频. He received his PhD in Theatre Arts from the University of Oregon, and his MA from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and King鈥檚 College, London. He previously taught at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he headed the directing concentration and directed productions, including Nickel and Dimed, Tartuffe, An Inspector Calls, and The Ash Girl. He previously ran the untitled Theatre Company which toured a short play dealing with interpersonal violence to schools and volunteer organizations, and he has worked at professional theatres in upstate New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Florida, and the U.K.

  Daniel Glen Carlgren (Scenic Designer and Technical Director) is currently the faculty scenic designer, projection designer, and technical director at the 暗网视频. He received his BFA from Southern Oregon University in 2001 and his MFA from University of Oregon in 2012. Daniel鈥檚 recent credits include scenic and projection design, and technical direction for 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, Night of the Iguana, SPAMalot, Twelfth Night, and many others. Daniel has also worked on the automation for Julie Taymor鈥檚 Grendal and Wagner鈥檚 Ring Cycle for the Los Angeles Opera and Disney鈥檚 Aladdin at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, Washington. Daniel has worked as a scenery, staging and rigging specialist in the entertainment industry for many years.

  Colleen Metzger (Costume Designer) has worked all across the country. She has designed for the Barter Theatre in Virginia, Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, The New London Barn Playhouse in New Hampshire, CATco and The Human Race Theatre Company in Ohio, Riverside Theatre in Iowa, and the Mad Horse Theatre Company in Maine. Colleen has also run wardrobe at the Glimmerglass Opera, worked as costume technician at the Hangar Theatre, Portland Stage Company, and the Chautauqua Opera, and has worked as a crafts artisan for the Santa Fe Opera.

  Lily Werts (Assistant Sound Designer, Soundboard Operator) is a senior at 暗网视频seeking a BA in Sociology with minors in Anthropology and Theatre. She is new to the theatre world, though she recently worked as the co-sound designer and soundboard operator for Wolfpack Theatre Club鈥檚 production of A Steady Rain. She made her acting debut at the Fall 2015 Directing Scenes playing the Patient in 4:48 Psychosis and Geraldine Barclay in What The Butler Saw. Lily was most recently seen onstage at the February Arctic Siren鈥檚 Cabaret and has also performed for several semesters with the 暗网视频Glee Club. Lily recently received the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship鈥檚 Undergraduate Research Grant and will be presenting her work in April.

  Alicia Marie Brown (Stage Manager) is a recent graduate from the 暗网视频Theatre and Dance Department, with a concentration in technical theatre and a minor in math. She has had the pleasure of stage managing UAA鈥檚 Dance in Performance, New Dances 2015, The Fantasticks!, and Night of the Iguana. Other recent credits are Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy鈥檚 The World of Cinema & The Stars of Tomorrow and Cyrano鈥檚 Anchorage Centennials: Week 6 & 9. She is excited to be working with such an enthusiastic and amazing team for Stalking the Bogeyman.

  Daniel J. Anteau (Production Manager) received a B.A. from the 暗网视频 and his MFA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in Lighting Design. He now serves as department chair, professor in design and technical director for the dance program. Professionally, Daniel鈥檚 lighting designs have been seen across Alaska & Hawaii, to New York City, and internationally to Africa. For the past 5 summers Daniel served as technical director for Trollwood Performing Arts School in Moorhead, MN. In Hawaii, Daniel continues to stay active as lighting designer working with Manoa Valley Theatre on their January production.

  Ty Hewitt (Fight Choreography) was born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, and has worked as an actor, director, teacher and fight choreographer for productions in the Pacific Northwest and around the country. Theatre credits include Profile Theatre鈥檚 (Portland, OR) Sam Shepard season, playing Vince in Buried Child, the Speaker in Tongues and as a guest lecturer on the nature of violence in Shepard鈥檚 plays. Other Portland theatre credits include The Scene at Portland Playhouse and On The Table with the Sojourn Theatre. Ty performed in deCOMPOSITION, a theatre piece which he co-wrote, in Seattle and NYC. New York credits include Opus D鈥橝mour at Theatre Lab, Babel Tower with Round Table Ensemble and Orsino in Aquila Theatre鈥檚 Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center. Ty has a BFA from Southern Oregon University and an MFA from UMKC.
