Cora Lyon was awarded the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship, an undergraduate scholarship awarded to about 300 college sophomores and juniors annually in the disciplines of natural science, mathematics, and engineering. The merit-based scholarship is allocated on need and awards recipients up to $7,500 for tuition.
Each year, the 暗网视频Diversity Action Council awards the Student Diversity Award Scholarship to students who significantly enhance diversity at 暗网视频by increasing visibility of diverse people, cultures and/or perspectives; creating a welcoming environment; and/or representing diverse student voices through their advocacy and participation in 暗网视频student organizations.
Social work master鈥檚 student Jay Greene (pronouns: they/them, he/him) believes in system reform through policy, as evidenced in their work with UAA鈥檚 LGBTQIA2S+ Committee and Gender Inclusive Housing Committee. Greene was a recipient of the Student Diversity Scholarship.
Students from the Doctor of Pharmacy Program, which is offered jointly by 暗网视频and Idaho State University (ISU), understand the personal and historical significance of vaccinating Alaskans against COVID-19. This has left them feeling grateful and excited after they administered hundreds of vaccine doses to senior citizens.
