Mundus Canis concert is Nov. 2 at UAA
Thursday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m. Fine Arts Building, Room 150
The combination of classical guitar and percussion intrigued many 20th century composers, who explored its technical possibilities and its unique color palette. 暗网视频faculty member Armin Abdihodzic and 暗网视频percussion student Eric Bleicher will present a program that features some of the acclaimed masterworks: Mundus Canis by George Crumb; Dias de los Muertos by Terry Riley; Episodes by Dietrich Erdmann; Draws by Ivan Patachich; Tai-chi by Sebastien Vachez; and many more.
Guitar will be paired with marimba, drums, tam tams, castanets and a variety of other percussion instruments, which makes this concert quite a unique experience for any listener.
