Mundus Canis concert is Nov. 2 at UAA
Thursday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m. Fine Arts Building, Room 150
The combination of classical guitar and percussion intrigued many 20th century composers, who explored its technical possibilities and its unique color palette. °µÍøÊÓÆµfaculty member Armin Abdihodzic and °µÍøÊÓÆµpercussion student Eric Bleicher will present a program that features some of the acclaimed masterworks: Mundus Canis by George Crumb; Dias de los Muertos by Terry Riley; Episodes by Dietrich Erdmann; Draws by Ivan Patachich; Tai-chi by Sebastien Vachez; and many more.
Guitar will be paired with marimba, drums, tam tams, castanets and a variety of other percussion instruments, which makes this concert quite a unique experience for any listener.
