Update - Oct. 22, 2019: Construction on Providence Drive is now complete, and the road has reopened to traffic. Huge thanks to the Municipality of Anchorage for finishing up before the snow flies!

Dear °µÍøÊÓƵCommunity,

I have an important update for you about an all-lane road closure that will take place on Providence Drive between Spirit Drive and °µÍøÊÓƵDrive. Starting Sept. 3, the Municipality of Anchorage will completely replace the old steel culverts beneath the road with a new, concrete box culvert. This is critical for safety for motorists. Because Chester Creek is also an active salmon habitat, the municipality will divert the creek during the , which will take about six weeks and run through mid-October.

Seawolves, if we can survive a 7.1 earthquake, we can get through this, too. We're resilient!

Thanks for your patience.

Sincerely,
Cathy Sandeen
