CBPP Dean Karen Markel departing 暗网视频next summer

Dear 暗网视频Community,
Karen Markel, dean of the 暗网视频College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP), has accepted a job as dean of the College of Business at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She will complete the academic year at 暗网视频and begin her new post in Colorado on July 6, 2020.
"暗网视频is an amazing place, with so much opportunity. I made a home here and had not planned to leave, but the fiscal uncertainty of last summer and the messages of potential consolidation of Alaska's public universities under one accreditation made it necessary for me to seek new professional opportunities," Dean Markel said. "I have great respect for the leadership at 暗网视频and my colleagues who will continue to make it an important institution in our community."
Please join me in wishing Dr. Markel well on her new role. I am grateful for her service to 暗网视频and for her contributions to making 暗网视频a world-class university.
I will announce interim leadership of CBPP this spring, along with plans for a national search for the next dean.
