The 暗网视频 is excited to announce a new partnership with the Bellingham Technical College (BTC) to further educational opportunities for students and meet the high-demand needs for today鈥檚 Geomatics workforce. The new partnership offers a pathway for students in BTC鈥檚 associate degree in Engineering Technology - Geomatics to continue their education and finish with a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics at UAA. The Geomatics program at 暗网视频is the only program of its kind statewide.

鈥淲ashington and Alaska have always had a strong cultural bond and we are excited to strengthen that identity,鈥� said 暗网视频Provost Denise Runge. 鈥淢ost importantly, we look forward to sharing experience and knowledge between students and professors that will benefit both of our states.鈥�

On Feb. 2, 2022, the Bellingham Technical College and the 暗网视频 signed the agreement effective immediately. The articulation agreement provides students who have completed BTC鈥檚 associate degree in Engineering Technology - Geomatics to transfer effortlessly to the ABET-accredited BS program at the Department of Geomatics in the College of Engineering at UAA. The program prepares students for a career in surveying and mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, spatial data science, and many related professional fields. Graduates from the program are highly sought after in Alaska and across the nation.

Bellingham Technical College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, and offers seven transfer degrees such as pre-engineering, pre-nursing, computer science and business.
