Biography
Joseph Warren is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. His research concerns
the nature of the state, varieties of legal institutions, and democracy, with specific
attention to contemporary challenges within environmental and housing policy. In ongoing
work, he investigates political conflict between Alaska Native communities and federal
agencies over fisheries management. This work is part of a broader book project on
the relationship between democracy and the administrative state. His research has
appeared in The Journal of Politics, The Journal of Legal Studies, Constitutional Political Economy, The Journal of Theoretical Politics, and elsewhere.
